Was a Boston-based band that flourished from 1983-1986. They were one group of first-time original rockers from the suburbs in a big, sprawling scene. Post-punk was dominant and popular in town, and Beginners Only were duly influenced by The Neighborhoods, R. , Husker Du, and The Replacements, and other heroes of the day. Only one recording was properly published. Made its way onto a compilation LP of mostly local acts, None Whatsoever. On young, start-up label Vacant Lot.
